It depends on what you think of as an end product ... what your goals are. Because my fiber crafted works in progress are material space occupying things they create anxiety sometimes for me (also the stash) - but since I’m primarily a writer - works in progress and stash - words and books and saved digital things- are my “staple” ... so really it depends ...

I love how you assessed the WIPs. You are right, when the "newness" wears off, it becomes hard to push through. In my case, I find that accountability is a single factor that holds me to the ground. I have to find some way to incorporate accountability for a project and make my brain believe it. 😅 Oh and your Shirin looks lovely. 🥰

I definitely have phases where I go through my WIPs and re-evaluate, often there's a seasonal component to this. Often things languish while I wait for inspiration or impetus and usually I'm fine with that. But there's nothing like a good clear out for freeing up some of those 4mm tips 😂

I actually do not have any WIPs, just can’t do it. I currently have a sweater and socks on the needles for our youngest grandson and that’s it. Occasionally I will also have a blanket on the go but never more than three projects.

I have been known however to rip out a whole finished project when I decide I don’t like it on. Thus allowing the yarn to live another day.

I guess if you don’t immediately love it then rip it out
